Something to chew on
I must say I was a bit bummed with all the feedback I was getting--- many of my dearest friends really struggling in mind and heart with the last few months of correspondence, change and transition... but then I realized that this is really good. It really is. Real healing and new wonderful things are taking place... for both communities. My adorable husband last night talked about God sometimes painting with a black paint brush. Whether or not you buy that analogy, I think it is apt. CS Lewis (yes, all Cooks have to mention Lewis at all times) says that pain is a megaphone for God to speak to us when we can't listen other ways. I think this is true. Logically you can look at pain (usually someone else's) and see the reason, the growth, the purpose. I am feeling blessedly able to do this. To see God draw us together and get all this crud out. I am celebrating all the honesty. I am so glad to have our confession, our hurts out and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel so to speak. I really hope this is happening for you too.
This Sunday @ 5pm @ our house we are going to literally burn up all our hurts. I hope that you will take this week to cry and mourn, and come over Sunday and set those things on fire. Then we can begin the dawn of good things together.
I love each of you so
Kel
